'Tis the season to be jolly......will 2014 bring you a lot of lolly? Fa la la la la la!

Greetings one and all for it is the season to be jolly. Wondering if 2014 will bring you a lot of lolly? Well as long as you play to your talents be inspired and keep motivated then its sure to bring you more than lolly. Now is a time for reflecting over the past year. The highs and the lows. The happy times and sad times. They say at Christmas you can make a Christmas wish. This year my wish is for world peace and no I'm not a beauty pageant contestant lol! Just someone who watches the news and reads the newspapers seeing unhappy times and unpleasant times for people. I hope that one day every one of us can live in peace and harmony together. In the words of John Lennon, you may think that I'm a dreamer. Well I'm sure I'm not the only one. But if we can imagine a world full of peace then the world would be a better place. And to achieve world peace each one of us needs to look inside ourselves and see how we can achieve social solidarity putting our differences aside. Not just for Christmas but for life. To see everyday that each person is unique in their own right and deserves equal respect and more importantly that we respect ourselves. So take a moment to think of those closest to you this year. Take a moment to think of the new things you would like to achieve and the new hope for world peace. More importantly to think about inner peace with oneself. I'd like to take this moment to wish all my readers a very happy prosperous and peaceful new year.

The robots are coming!

It is apparently so that new technological advances will soon mean that robots will be able to recognise and react to human emotions. They may be used in future to replace carers or soldiers on the battlefield. It then poses the question of ethical measures. Is it right to replace such people. Apparently on the battlefield they will be able to make the decision of who 'lives or dies' how can a robot make such decisions and will they make the ' right' decision. Is it then right to have a persons human rights violated by mere machine. And on the focus of carers or medicinal science; is it therefore ethical to actually replace such talented skilled People with immortal machine? This takes me back to childhood stories such as The Iron Man and films watched during childhood such as the Terminator, Robocop and The Vindicator. Cast your mind back to these films and stories and is seems somewhat scary that this type of robotic theme in the case of replacing humans could somehow become reality. The question is not how but now a case of when? Robots within these films and stories sometimes develop a mind ot their own. And in turn are destroyed by the immortal human. So the question of immortal and mortal poses another discussion an will be discussed in a future blog so keep your eyes peeled for red lady blogs. As a student of philosophy I am sure I will have much to talk about. So the robots are coming and may one date take over in terms of replacing soldiers and  medical personnel.  Life in itself is precious. What will happen if we or they allow this theme of robotic enhancement to human life. It also leads me to talk about the modern film I robot which turns convention on its head. You have to watch it to know what I am talking about. ( no spoilers here). It is time to look at the effect robots may have over human life. Surely the modern computer or mobile phone can help life. But man is not mere machine. Apparently we could be so reliant on these robots that the assimilation between humans and robots will be few and far between.
So reliant that they will control is. A bit like the current government then.
So do we have control over when these robots will begin to be part of our lives? I guess it's just a matter of watching this space.

Conspiracy Theory........Part One

Did you know that on September 11 2001 the fateful day of the twin towers collapse, that 11 celebrities escaped their fates.
The collapse took place on the 77th floor on one of the towers, 77th = 7/7 july bombings in London 4 years later.
The coincidence of numbers here consists not only of numerological science but that of possible pure coincidence.
How could it be that 'government' officials did not know about these attacks and yet were 'away from the attacks'.
Let it be known that natural disasters such as tornados do not care how much money you have or how much fortune or power you hold as if it wants to 'get you' it will get you.
Therefore when such attacks happen it is clear to see why there may be conspiracy when certain 'unexplained episodes' happen that are not 'natural disasters'.
If 'natural disasters' can be explained by 'science' then so too can certain attacks be explained by 'conspiracy theories'.
Looking at the latest news there just seems to conspiracy all over it.

What the world needs now is to join hands and have peace not monstrosities.

What the world needs now is love, sweet love.

Imagine all the people, joining hands joint in peace and love.

NB: this is just a blog of an idea..  In all intents and purposes it is not harboured to offend or harm.

Who will win The Voice 2013

Hello and good day to all The Voice 2013 viewers everywhere.
I must admit I was so blown away by all the performances last Saturday night on the Voice.
It was so difficult to tell who would be put through to the final.
And the finalists are....... Well I can say I was very happy for the finalists.  We shall see on Saturday who will win and check my blog next week to see what I feel for the winner and how well they did.
So as not to turn heads in any kind of favour I am not naming names of who I feel will win.
All I know is that there is such extraordinary raw talent on The Voice that competition is immense lets just hope the judges don't judge too harshly. Lol! But of course it is up to you the public to vote for your winner.  Fingers crossed for your favourites.
I shall aim to be watching with nibbles and sweets to see who wins The Voice 2013.
Are you a singer? Could you see yourself on the Voice? I can't sing but I wouldn't mind trying for the Voice. Watch this space!
Music is a passion of mine, although I can't sing I can compose classical music and write songs as well as blogs in my spare time.
I love music as Shakespeare wrote if music be the food of love....play on.  So play your music people and maybe post some comments of the music you like.
I feel that music is also a great aid to healing the soul - you know like when you split up with someone or someones got your goat or your chicken you can just put your music on the music that makes everything seem better and you know it will all be ok.

The music that makes me feel so much better is Hero by Mariah Carey. Listen to the words of this song its very moving and very real. Often music that touches the heart can also heal the soul.

How to write the perfect novel

So writing a novel! Its not that easy as it seems. First lets discuss what you will need:
A large pot of coffee for those late late nights writing
A good laptop or ipad (as it is these days)
A paper and pen for drafting your novel
A good plot for your story
Lots of sweets and nibbles.

So, first of all you have to make a plot and make it a good one, next step is to plan your characters and don't do what I did by writing so much that you forget your characters names.  Its much better to read over what you've read so you can stay ahead of the game and remember who's who in your novel.
Be prepared for writer's block! If you get writer's block you can always take a break and read over your novel to see how to make it flow again.
You have to think of your audience and who will read or might read your book.  In case of a younger audience, it is best not to make your book full of swear words or something that might offend.  If in doubt, research it out!
I have recently wrote a novel and am waiting to get it published - well hey I might even post a transcript part of the book to see how you blogreaders out there like it and you can post me some feed back on your comments as I am welcome to all comments.  Thanks readers, enjoy your day!

Yes! Your Royal Sugar Daddy!

A hungry team of ambitious people all fighting to get to the major prize.  Imagine a team of twelve people all from different backgrounds aiming for the same goal.  Yes there are some arguments and fights along the way but that's to be expected when they are all aiming to please the Royal Sugar Daddy. The prize is so large and yes its in their sights but who will win the competition?
Sometimes it seems as if all the persons are just greedy for candy and cannot see anything else but candy. It is the Royal Sugar Daddy who is giving the prize of the largest candy piece so large its no wonder there is fighting along the way.
But is it a worthwhile competition if no one is thinking of what they can learn on this journey or is it just candy candy candy?
Can you guess what tv show I have just described? If so post a comment with the answer.

Be aware!

Yo! to all my peoples out there.  Those especially in this current economic unemployment market.
I was recently sent an email from a recruiter that claimed to say that I had been successful for a job role and please could I call this mobile number.  Well, ultimately, as you do, I jumped to the chance and dialled this mobile number. It all seemed really professional and I was kept on hold for a while and then I thought oh they must be just busy.  So, I dailled a few times and then hung up.  I looked over the email and could not remember if I had applied for this job role or not, then I thought well it must be too good to be true and it was.... as when I checked my phone bill I realised that the number I had called was a premium rate mobile number.  I was so furious, I could not believe it.  So I sent an email to Watch dog to investigate.  How could it be possible that someone is cashing in on the current unemployed market like this.  It is most distasteful indeed. So please remember to check back on your diaries of the jobs you have applied for and check who the email is from before you respond or dial any mobile or any telephone numbers.
I had to pay at least £7.00 for the calls but now I am ever so vigilant for these types of emails.
So please remember to stay vigilant and be aware!

Friends with Benefits

Friends with benefits - but what does that actually mean? Someone once said to me if you meet a guy and all he wants is to be intimate with you and just wants to be friends, then this means you are seen as a 'friend with a benefit'. Oh please! How is it that men just cannot be men and be honest.  For example when you go into a shop you are being honest with the shop worker about what you want.  They do say if you don't ask you don't get.  Yet some men are just out to get get get aren't they with out being honest - Can i get a hey yeah from the ladies?
Sometimes as women being the fairer sex, we seem to appear to be female creatures who can't help but fall in love with Mr Wrong.  but if he was just honest in the first place then there would be a lot less heart break and we all know how long it takes to mend a broken heart don't we ladies?
Anyway much heartbreak put aside, I invite all the good men out there to leave a comment on my blog about why they are honest and good. At least the best cure for a broken heart is lots of chocalate, clothes shopping and icecream and some good music or if your're like me lots of ciggarettes - ha ha  that is bad i know, or you could always just look in the mirror, stand tall and wipe those tears and say to yourself: 'I am an attractive woman and will draw the best possible person to me'.
So friends with benefits could also mean that you have a friend that always lends you money or helps you fix things or the best friend with a benefit is the one that respects you and doesn't disrespect you in any way.
for me that is best benefit a friend can give you and vice versa.

The Four letter word.....LOVE

So LOVE, what's it all about?
Well it's not about the money, money money. Although we all love money don't we?
But what do we mean by love money? Is it the power it gives us for all of five minutes when its in our pockets, wallets or purses and then gets spent on that nice take away or beautiful dress we thought was a bargain?
Or is it the power it gives us to spend, spend, spend and shop till our mouths drop when we read our bank balances after that heavy shopping spree?
Or is it the thought that we only appreciate the value of money when we have it, thinking about what the value of money means is almost like trying to answer the question of what's the meaning of life - but don't worry I'm not about to get philosophical yet, I'll save that for another blog.
So LOVE, well there are all kinds of love, there is self love, family love, real love, relationship love, love of chocalate love of money and unconditional love.  Ok there are lots of different types of love.
Let's focus on one type of love for the moment. Yes you've guessed it - relationship love.
With the passing of Valentine's Day, yes I know it was only a few months ago when gentlemen were checking their wallets for that all-expensive date or all-expensive girlfriend or making eyes at the beautiful girl on the dance floor, just hoping she'll come over to say Hi.
Just what does love mean and how does it feature in personal relationships with another person.  Ok so we have self love and that involves taking care of ourselves and respecting ourselves but what about the respect and taking care of someone else.  Once we are committed and married to that one person, do we suddenly feel that we don't have to work at the relationship anymore or should it be that everyday you should rekindle that fire, that passion, that ripple in the ocean to show your partner you really care, or should the 'I love you's ' be only saved for Valentines Day?
No! Love shoule be shown everyday whether we show it to ourselves or our loved ones it shouldn't just be Valentines Day or just birthdays or special occasions either.  Everyday is the best way to show our love to our loved ones.
But what if we don't really know love and we hear our partner say 'I love you'.  For every action there is a reaction so is it just reaction to say ' I love you' back or is it just a natural reaction to say 'I love you' back.  Some people say its a big lie to say ' I love you'. But sometimes its just a human emotion, and when people say it they either really mean it or don't mean it at all.
In a relationship love is unconditional, its not fair for example if your loved one is saying to you, 'But if you loved me you'd do this for me'. Correction! Love is not something you use to get someone to honour your requests or use to get that person to your way of thinking.  Yet I'm sure its happened to some of us right? Yes it has. But remember there are loves gained and loves lost, but there is always a love that stays deep within us and never goes away.  That is self love, respecting and taking care of ourselves. Sometimes it starts with a love so innate so deep inside ourselves to actual come out to love someone else.
So lets revert back to the love of money. Why do we love money? or hate it? it's like marmite isn't it - you either love it or you hate it.  but its not love if when you don't have money then you think you hate it.  Consider this then that if your loved one goes away on a business trip - you don't then start hating them do you? No because absence makes the heart grow fonder but not with money. So isn't it time to start thinking about love of money in the sense that if the absence of money is not making you love it when it is not there then why is it making you love it when it is there. Confusing I know.  But many of the greatest survivors on this earth and in history have survived without a penny! Some of the greatest entrepreneurs to date started with a penny but the one thing to remember is this: Love of money can destroy us if we love it too much, because for some of us when money is not there, it puts us in a dangerous liasion with ourselves. I think its time that  we all stopped to think about love of other people and not just ourselves.  They say money is at the root of all evil.  If we could all stop hating one another and fighting wars with one another over the sake of money or money producing attributes then maybe there would be such a thing as World Peace.  There is too much fighting going on in the world, yet there is no one throwing money at the situation to make world peace is there? Until we learn to respect each other and love one another then we will find the answer to world peace.
So LOVE whats it all about.  I shall spell it out for you.

Learn from others
Overcome hatred
View with a heart other people's lives
Expect beautiful and wonderful things when the former 3 things afforementioned are put into practice.

LOVE - its the four letter word, and love conquers all.

Monday 8 April 2013

As I sit watching the news of the new current benefit reforms, I must say I am astonished at the level of insensitivity of the current prime minister and his fellow politicians on this new benefit reform.
It is however not a case of being a 'couch benefit potatoe' neither is it a case of being a 'benefit scrounger'.
I for one have been out of work for over 5 years now and find that there is too much 'RED TAPE' when it comes to benefits and being in work.
For example, I called a renound employment agency this morning to find out why the page would not load and let me apply for the role I wanted. "Oh we don't know, maybe the line is too busy". One woman even had the cheek to say my background music was too loud - "Well hey lady its not a job interview it's just a simple question".
So there you have it even when having an error on a renound employment agencies' website the people at the employment agency simply don't want to help you.  Hello! I am looking for work here - not lame excuses why you cannot help me!
And so to the benefit reforms. Well what can I say - new benefits, old benefits.  Apparently you can't apply for a crisis loan now so whats the world to do?
Replacing Income support with universal credit seems to be a good idea but is it really.  If they really wanted to help people into work then they should think about cutting the red tape or diminishing the red tape all together. The red tape I am talking about is the fact that if you want to find work you have to be better off. By this I mean finding a job that is going to make you better off financially but the thing is if you are like me and live in private rented accomodation which is 50% more expensive than council housing and people like the company I rang today can't help you to find a job then what is one to do.
All you ever hear is "oh there are gaps in your CV" or "you don't have the relevant experience".
Gaps or no gaps, experience or no experience, what should it matter if you just want a job and can prove that you can do the job, given half a chance. YES! I hear you cry! The employment agencies will always focus on the negative like gaps on  a cv or zero experience, but the whole point is that you need to get a job to gain experience. A case of which came first - the chicken of the egg! If you catch my drift! Why are employment agencies so negative,  especially when facing a fresh faced well dressed person willing to come off benefits and get a job surely that should score very highly but no its just a case of gaps and no experience.
Why can't people just have a good chance to get a job. There are thousands of jobs out there sure, but its another thing to just 'put down' people looking for work. And you wonder why when you look in employment agencies windows that you just see a lemon sucking face sitting there wondering when the next person is going to come in. Why? Because they never give people a chance.
NEXT STOP - Petition to overthrow the red tape in recruitment and employment agencies that are putting too much red tape in the way of decent citizens in this county who would really like a job.
